Young people in Coalville have told us that they’d like the chance to sing – possibly in a choir!
One of our friends, Sharon Eason, has linked us up with the Grand Central Chorus and now you are invited to an open rehearsal on Wednesday 21 June at 7:15 at Harrington Junior School, Long Eaton.
This is the Chorus’ contribution to Make Music Day, this year.
Grand Central Chorus are the current British bronze medal holders, having achieved a score of 80.2% at the convention at the end of May. They are renowned for the quality of their singing and their love of singing.
The chorus boasts a membership of over 60 singers ranging in age from 18 to 80 plus. Apart from competing in competitions in this country and overseas, the chorus love to perform at local venues with other musicians. You can see and hear them by following links from their website grandcentralchorus.com
If you can’t make 21 June, just come along on any Wednesday. You will be made very welcome. If you would like to come along, but need help with transport, please text your name and phone number to 07954 659318 and they will call you back.
