British long distance runner Gemma Steel has announced that she will officially start the Coalville Colour Run on Sunday 18 September – as less than a week remains for anyone wishing to take part.
Coalville local Gemma has pledged her support for the event and will set runners and walkers of all ages off on the colourful 5km course, which takes in the town’s landmarks and green spaces.
Gemma will also take part in the starting line warm up, where participants will be dressed in white t-shirts, soon seeing them change to all the colours of the rainbow as they are blasted with powdered paint during their tour of the town.
Spectators will be able to join in the fun, with paint pouches available to buy on the day, and a free ‘paint party’ at the finish line in Coalville Park.
